Liberty of Havering Chapter welcomes new Companion and celebrates charity

Liberty of Havering Chapter provide a distinguished evening of welcome, fellowship and charity

Liberty of Havering Chapter No. 1437 was delighted to welcome Frank Guest as a Companion at a memorable meeting held at the Upminster Masonic Centre colloquially known as ‘The Square’. The occasion was marked by the presence of a distinguished retinue of Executive members, notable Grand Officers, and the Provincial Escort Party, underscoring the importance of the evening.

The ceremony was supported by the dedication and teamwork of the Chapter Officers, who delivered the full lectures with skill and enthusiasm. Following the ceremony, Frank, who originates from Essex Quadrant Lodge No. 7143 was formally welcomed into the Royal Arch together with being presented with his welcome pack by the Assistant to the Grand Principals (APGP), Ian Watson.

Further greetings were extended by the Second Provincial Grand Principal Dr Jack Gilliland and APGP George Lambeth, adding to the sense of occasion and fellowship. Frank expressed his enthusiasm for continuing his Masonic journey within this vibrant and committed Chapter.

The evening concluded with a highly enjoyable Burns Night celebration, creating a fitting social backdrop to an already outstanding event.

A particular highlight of the meeting was the Chapter’s continued dedication to charitable causes. Members were especially pleased to hear the proposal of a further £1,000 donation to Teddies for Loving Care Essex. This important charity provides comfort and reassurance to young children by gifting teddies at times of distress, and the Chapter remains proud to support such meaningful work within the community.

Liberty of Havering Chapter continues to demonstrate not only strong ceremonial tradition and fellowship, but also a deep and ongoing commitment to charity at the heart of its activities.
