The Essex Provincial ‘Spring Fling’ dinner dance held at the stunning Braxton Park Estate is hailed a great success

On Saturday 17th May, the stunning country surroundings of Braxted Park Estate, Great Braxted, set the scene for the Essex Provincial ‘Spring Fling’ Ball, a black-tie dinner dance celebrating all that makes Essex Freemasonry so special.
In the company of the Provincial Grand Master & Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Paul Tarrant, the evening brought together Brethren, Companions, and guests for an unforgettable night of fellowship, fine dining, and dancing.
The event began with a drink’s reception and canapés in the sunshine, with guests gathering around the beautiful fountain gardens before heading into the marquee for a superb three-course dinner. The evening was compared with charm and humour by Bernie Smith, with the Deputy Provincial Grand Superintendent, Peter Hollingsworth, delivering a warm and thoughtful introduction for the Provincial Grand Master. Responding, Paul Tarrant shared a heartfelt speech celebrating the enduring values of Freemasonry — friendship, service, integrity, and brotherhood.
After dinner, the live band ‘Fully FunKtional’ performed on stage, and living up to their name, filled the dance floor throughout the night
with their energetic performance and feel-good hits.
Peter Hollingsworth added, "The event was outstanding, the choice of venue was perfect, and it was evident that a great deal of thought, planning, and dedication went into every detail."
The ‘Spring Fling’ was a great success with fun had by all who attended. It was a celebration of achievements, a welcome to new faces, and a reminder of the bonds that unite us. ‘The Essex Provincial Ball’ will be back next year and everyone is welcome: Brethren, Companions, friends and family alike. If you missed it this time, make sure you don’t miss out next year!
