Combined Chapter Meeting hosted by Stedfast Unity Chapter at Upminster
The Cluster Chapter meeting at the Upminster Masonic Centre proves to be a great success
A successful and well-attended combined meeting of Royal Arch Chapters was held at the Upminster Masonic Centre (colloquially known as The Square), under the banner of Stedfast Unity Chapter No. 9128 on the 30th June 2025. A total of 91 Companions were present, representing the many various Chapters that meet at Upminster.
The meeting was particularly honoured by the presence of Peter Hollingsworth, Essex Provincial Deputy Grand Superintendent, accompanied by several members of the Provincial Executive.
The standard business was conducted including the roll call of Upminster Chapters being confirmed following which, an engaging and thoroughly well-received talk entitled: ‘Angels One Five – The Battle of Britain: The German Side of Events’, was delivered by Mark Smith, who captivated the assembled Companions with his knowledge, presentation style, and historical insight.
As part of the evening’s proceedings, a cheque for £1,000 was presented to Peter Hollingsworth in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation, with a further £250 added after the meeting, reflecting the Companions' generosity.
The Companions enjoyed a sumptuous meal at the Festive Board with warm fraternal fellowship, lively conversation, and good-natured banter with special thanks being extended to all who contributed to the organisation and delivery of a most memorable occasion.
The sense of unity and shared purpose among the Chapters was clear making the meeting a resounding success, strengthening the bonds between the Chapters of the Upminster Masonic Centre and showcasing the richness of Royal Arch Masonry, both in ceremonial dignity and fraternal joy.
