North Essex Masters Lodge host Provincial Grand Lodge investitures
North Essex Masters Lodge install new Master James McCreadie together with hosting Provincial Grand Lodge for two appointments and investitures
At the North Essex Masters Lodge No. 9831 meeting on 9th December at St Giles Masonic Centre, Colchester, James McCreadie was installed as Worshipful Master. The Province was also pleased to make and mark two other significant appointments and investitures at the meeting.
To facilitate these changes, Provincial Grand Master, Paul Tarrant formerly opened Provincial Grand Lodge before an attendance of over 100 members.
The PGM then appointed and invested Peter Hollingsworth as Deputy Provincial Grand Master, succeeding Nick Franklin, who stood down from the office at that time.
Peter has extensive experience gained from seven years as Assistant Provincial Grand Master and more recently as Deputy Grand Superintendent in the Royal Arch.
Also, in consequence of Colin Felton standing down as Assistant Provincial Grand Master (APGM) following him taking up the office of Deputy Provincial Grand Superintendent in the Royal Arch, Richard Jordan was appointed and invested as the Provinces newest APGM.
Richard needs little introduction, having previously served the Province as both Provincial Grand Secretary and more recently as Provincial Junior Grand Warden. He brings knowledge and experience to the Province.
The ceremony was efficiently and regally conducted by the PGM with support from Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies Dave Hawtin and the Provincial team.
The staff at St Giles also provided their usual outstanding hospitality throughout the day and festive board that followed.
An excellent ‘pomp and ceremony’ meeting, great company, good food and wine combined to make the occasion a very memorable one.
