42 Masonic and guest golfers supported the Craft Stewards Easter Golf day and proudly raised £1,100 for Masonic charities

On Friday 11th April 2025, 42 Masonic and guest golfers turned out on a glorious Spring day at Rochford Hundred Golf Club to support the Provincial Craft Stewards Easter Golf Day, including the Essex Provincial Grand Master (PGM), Paul Tarrant.
After registration, a welcome breakfast and the draw for the ‘Magic Envelope’, the teams teed off. The golfers took the opportunity to demonstrate their varying playing prowess, sometimes watched by a gallery of Easyjet passengers waiting to take off on the runway next to the course. If not, then it was a lovely walk-in great surroundings and a chance to top up the vitamin D in the sunshine.
In the clubhouse afterwards, there was a jovial and convivial atmosphere over lunch with a raffle, the ‘Barrow of Wine’ draw and presentation of prizes.
The whole event was organised by Iain Thompson with assistance on the day from his fellow Stewards: Joe Doherty,
James Perry and Simon Redgen, and they proudly raised over £1,100 for Masonic charities.
Iain expressed his sincere thanks for everyone who took part and helped make this such an outstanding day.
The winners were: Stuart McMillan, Paul Scott, Christian Webb (and mysterious Stig-like late replacement not pictured) received the trophy from the PGM.
