Saturday July 3rd, 2021 – Essex Freemasons Ladies Day Festival

We propose to relaunch Essex Freemasonry at the Chelmsford City Racecourse in Great Leas, in memory of Rt.W Bro Rodney Lister Bass, an occasion not be missed for you and your family.

Although the event will be a fund raiser, our main objective is to bring together our Brethren, their friends, family, neighbours, potential initiates and anyone else connected to our wonderful organization - after what looks to be, 12 months of lockdown.

The day is being organized by Rosslyn Lodge with the full support of the Province and it will be a day to remember – when Essex came out of lockdown ready to face anything the future has to offer.

This is what will be happening on the day:

  • Seven live races broadcast nationally by Sky Television. You can bet on the Tote or with the on course Bookies or simply enjoy the spectacle.
  • We have combined with Stisted so there will be stalls and other attractions for all of the family.
  • Racetrack will only admit Essex Freemasons and their guests on the day so please bring friends, family and potential initiates.
  • All of the side orders have the opportunity to be represented – Freemasonry united.
  • Glittering banqueting if you want it.
  • This will be a Ladies Festival so it can be a special day for those that want to go that extra mile with posh frocks, Top hats and the full ensemble.
  • If you prefer you can simply buy a family or an ordinary ticket and enjoy all the attractions on offer at the City Racecourse.
  • We have made it affordable as possible for everyone with ticket prices starting at £15 (Limited numbers only) going up to £95 for the full banqueting package.

You can book your tickets now by going online at: https://tinyurl.com/y5e5pmtk but before you do please consult with other members of your Lodge/Chapter as you may wish to sit with each other and would prefer to block book.

This is because when you book, you will be asked for your seating preferences and the name of your Lodge or Chapter and we will do all we can to ensure you are sitting with friends, but as we are literally expecting thousands to attend we cannot guarantee any places – so please make sure that you are prepared before booking or you could face disappointment.

We also advise Lodges to organise transport such as mini buses or coaches so that everyone can enjoy this glittering occasion. We want to see as many of our members as possible so please let your everyone know what is happening so that we can make it a day to remember.

Please Note: If this event is unable to proceed because of Covid or other unforeseen causes – all monies will be refunded in full.
